On Division

 

There are growing fears in this country because of our implied division. But are we divided? That may sound like a foolish question, but the overwhelming majority of people seem to all want the same thing: a good life. Do I need to ask what that entails? Hopefully, what’s good is something we can all share as truth and not something nihilistic or relative. In reality though, Americans are not divided. We are told that by the media outlets and the pollsters. Every person in this country would do themselves some good if they remained only a little bit skeptical of the things they hear or read about.

And it’s not only division they will mention as fact, but that it’s sliced evenly. That cannot be true either. By now, the common taxpayer should have woken up with some sense. Perhaps, that is the aim of political violence: to keep people silent, shut in. It’s ramping up again, and just in time for the holidays. Why is it that we see more violence when republicans are in power? Just an observation. The fact is the majority of people in this country who work every day don’t even have time for politics or discuss those issues. They are normal, everyday law-abiding citizens. Then, there is everybody else and it’s not the majority. That’s it… that’s the division we hear about all the time. It’s not about racism; it’s not about gender; it’s not about money… well, maybe that last one. Hopefully, we all understand that it’s one big charade.

Now some people want to know the numbers… that is how they operate. Just to throw it out something, let’s just say it’s 70/30. That’s lowballing it. Thirty percent of the people in this country commit violent acts; and they cheer it on as well. It’s probably been like this for a long time. Except now, that number has been “inflated” to show the American people that the “oppressed” will no longer accept it.  That’s the gaslighting. We know who is committing these acts of violence.  Let’s not kid ourselves. We also know why they are doing it: it’s the sinful jealousy against those who have built lives they appreciate. Look, that majority of Americans are also quick to forgive and always give the benefit of the doubt, just to get back to their business. Hopefully, we never lose that quality. However, the continual lies that are perpetuated against the American people in order to make us feel guilty about our way of life has to stop. Who really is against free speech? Nobody. But if they are, let those people tell us, and we’ll all know why really quick.

Then there is the historical factor. Violence is part of our way of life. There’s probably some truth to that. People will say that it’s the guns and that’s why there’s violence and tragedy year after year. Never forget context though. Sure, a gun definitely makes it easier to carry out the action, but where is the cause of said action. Is that on the television? Perhaps, nowadays it’s on the smartphone. Somewhere people are being told that, “Donald Trump is a Nazi, and if you support him, they so are you.” What rubbish? It’s the weakest political argument in the history of our nation and a strawman to boot. The left used to be associated with common sense and education, but that narrative is changing. This is a better question: what makes a person disregard the opportunity for a good life because another person already has it? When JFK was assassinated, there must have been some applause. Every president has an opposition. Yet, maybe it was those people who were the ones that were silenced in that era, and not the overwhelming majority.

Terrorism is often described as control that operates via fear. Go ahead and do the research of all the tragedies and categorize them; it’ll start making more sense. Also, don’t be afraid to offend anyone because chances are they are already offended and aren’t getting over it anytime soon. It’s the weakness that is the poison.

The good life… that’s what we all want, right? Well, some of us. It’s beginning to look like true evil has no rules, borders, truths, nor standards. The radical minority of losers in this country just want others’ good lives to end. It doesn’t matter to them, and it never will. It was once known that Aristotle was criticized for saying that an ugly person will never be happy. Of course, he meant this literally. They’ll never be happy because they will always be left with an unfulfilled desire. That was the definition of unhappiness for him—something which cannot ever be satisfied. A gaping hole that can never be filled; a permanent void. Now, it’s starting to look like he was right all along at least in the figurative sense.
